Values of Free Expression

The Eight Values of Free Expression are: Discovery of Truth, Participation in Self-Government, Stable Change, Individual Self-Fulfillment, Check on Governmental Power, Promote Tolerance, Promote Innovation, and Protect Dissent are the eight Values of Free Expression.
The Eight Freedoms of Expression, according to the American Civil Liberties Union, the first amendment of the Constitution gives all Americans the right to personal freedom of expression and freedom of association, meaning that the government  has no right to prohibit/forbid any person from saying or writing things contrary to the government and that Americans have the right to freely create or join a group of their choice. Also, the American citizens have a right to protest the government.

Freedom of expression is extremely important to all Americans and myself. If we were to not have this right, many Americans would feel entrapped in themselves and feel like they had no voice. Freedom of expression promotes creativity. Creativity sparks innovation and that is exactly how a powerful nation such as the US remains on top.
